This June 12-15, 2025, we will be equipping young adults for Kingdom service through mentorship, purpose-driven work, Scripture engagement, and Spiritual friendships. Our program is designed to train Christian leaders who will engage in God’s global mission. We want to bring together young people (ages 13-25) who are serious about discipleship and want to grow together with others in their relationship with God.
Developing young men and women of character, courage, and competence is absolutely essential. The Nehemiah Discipleship Program is rooted in the philosophy that ministry is life, and that we are ALL called to be ministers of God’s Reconciliation in the world. Youth who participate this June will:
It is important for youth to build bonds with like-minded peers. Cultivating spiritual friendships focused on our common desire to grow spiritually is one reason we set a high bar on who participates in our program.
NDP provides an opportunity to see how the gifts and interests God has given you can glorify Him and be utilized as a minister of His reconciliation. From locksmithing to making home-made noodles, we want each young person to practice doing something new.
Good work is a blessing. Our character-building opportunities are disguised as old-fashioned hard work, preparing resilient leaders with strong work ethics and problem-solving skills for the future.
Through worship services, missional presentations, reflection time, and teaching, we encourage young people in their spiritual journey and affirm that God is actively speaking through his word.
Eric Himelick, executive director of Victory Acres, reflects on past Nehemiah Discipleship Programs and looks forward to many more changed lives to come.
